No one is immune from strange wisdom; however, even if we are successful in avoiding it, we are likely to see its affects on some others around us.
Proverbs 7:22-27 “He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.” Hearkening and attending to the Word of God is our only true defense against strange wisdom and the wiles of the devil. When our discernment fails, and our flesh prevails, we have an Advocate to plead our case. 1 John 2:1-5 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.” Strange wisdom has caused many to be cast down and wounded, even those who once stood for the Truth. May we strive today to stay grounded within the Wisdom of the Word of God so that we can stand strong for the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Bible Reading: Job 33-34 | 3 John | Proverbs 27
