Proverbs 8:1-3
“Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths. She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.” Jesus Christ, the Preacher of preachers, proclaimed the Gospel like no other, for He is the Heart of the Gospel. Without Him, there is no Good News to share or proclaim. John 7:37 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” The cry of Wisdom is penned throughout the pages of Scripture as each human author wrote the Words of Jesus Christ from their account. As you read your Bible, do you hear His voice? John 10:27-29 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.” Though we do not hear Him audibly, His voice speaks to our hearts and minds. We can only hear what the Lord has to say when we take the time to open His a Word. Throughout the Scriptures we find Jesus proclaiming His purpose. He lived and preached the Gospel so that we may also proclaim the same Good News to those who are without Him. Colossians 4:5 “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” Bible Reading: Job 35-36 | Jude | Proverbs 28
