Hebrews 10:22
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” We can only “come boldly” when we are covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 10:19-21 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God;” It is only through Him that we have to privilege to draw near to God. But how do can draw near to Him? A true heart is necessary. “Let us draw near with a true heart…” God is not interested in hypocrisy. James 4:8 “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” A true confidence is essential. “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith…” God desires us to come to Him through faith that rests solely in His works and not our own. Psalm 73:28 “But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.” A true relationship is required. “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” Through faith in His blood, our hearts are sprinkled and our bodies are washed. 1 John 1:6-7 “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” Draw near unto Him today.
