February 2 - Counseled On Purpose.

Proverbs 20:18
“Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.”
 
If we want to have purpose, we must seek counsel.
Where we seek our counsel is imperative to our success.
 
Proverbs 11:14
“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
 
Are we counseled by the Word or by the World?
Proverbs 19:21
“There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.”
 
1 John 2:15
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
 
Are we directed by the Lord or by lust?
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
 
1 John 2:16
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
 
We are constantly influenced.
Make the choice today to seek Wisdom rather than worldliness.
 
Ask the Lord to show you what needs changed in your life, and determine to follow His guidance. That still small Voice within us should not be ignored, our success depends upon how we react to what He says.
 
Purposefully choose to be counseled through the Word of Wisdom today.
