Ephesians 5:17
“Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” When Solomon could have asked for anything, he asked for wisdom. 1 Kings 3:9-10 “Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.” The Wisdom he received allowed him to discern what the will of the Lord was in the matters of leading the children of Israel. The same Wisdom is available to us, if only we would ask and seek Him. James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” Wisdom reveals the will of the Lord. Be not conformed. Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Be pure. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;” Be thankful. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” The only way we can discern and understand the will of the Lord is to seek Him through His Word. These areas are a good starting place for finding the will of God for our lives. Seek Him today, and allow Him to guide you. Bible Reading: Leviticus 11-12 | Luke 3
