Luke 1:74
“…serve him without fear.” One of the worst emotions to have is fear. Everyone fears something. It might be an unknown future, a family member’s illness, commitment, or even failure. Our flesh wants us to live in fear. Did you know that God didn’t create fear? We read in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear…” Instead, He gives us the spirit of power, or love, and of a sound mind. He wants us to live by His power, through His love, and by controlling ourselves through His Word. He wants us to serve Him without fear. This is our purpose. He redeemed us by sending His only begotten Son to die on the cross of Calvary, and pay the debt that we could not pay. The grace we have been bestowed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ is given to encourage us to serve Him without fear of what lies ahead. He wants us to serve Him with boldness. Regardless of the struggle, He wants us to stand boldly amidst this dark world, proclaiming Christ as the source of our strength. “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:6 Don’t give in to the fear you feel. Seek to serve Him today in the midst of the battle you are facing. Bible Reading: Leviticus 17-18 | Luke 6 | Psalm 24
