February 25 - The Benefits Of Obeying His Word.

Psalm 119:56
“This I had, because I kept thy precepts.”
 
Everything we have is given to us from the Lord. His mercy and grace is evident all throughout our lives. All the benefits we have as God’s children are because of our obedience to His Word.
 
Psalm 103:1-5
“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.”
 
Luke 12:24
“Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?”
 
The Lord cares for the birds, the flowers and the grass; how much more He cares for His children! We are not to think about what we need tomorrow, but rather we must seek Him first and He will supply our needs.
 
Matthew 6:33-34
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
 
If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must thank Him for the benefits of obeying His Word.
