January 28 - Strengthened By The Word.

Psalm 119:28
“My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.”
 
When circumstances cause our hearts to be heavy within us, the Solution can be found within the pages of the Scriptures.
 
Matthew 11:28
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
 
Our Saviour is patiently waiting while bidding us to come to Him. Though the problem may not immediately disappear, He can speak peace to the storms within our heart through His Word. There is a verse for every situation, and enough strength for every weakness.
 
Psalm 27:14
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
 
Psalm 73:26
“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”
 
Isaiah 40:28-29
“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”
 
Though our strength may fail us, we can choose to do everything through His strength.
 
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
 
If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must seek to be strengthened by the Word of God.
