July 21 - Preserved & Protected.

Proverbs 2:11
“Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:”
 
Wisdom preserves us by discretion.
We must have plan by which to guard our hearts against any false way. God has given us His Word to enable us to discern the difference between Truth and error is fruit of godly wisdom.
 
Proverbs 2:12-17
“To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.”
 
Wisdom protects us from sin.
Darkness is all around us. Many who once shined the Glorious Light of the Gospel have now chosen to blend in with the world. Separation is rare quality today, even amongst religious circles. God’s Word is clear that we should come out from among the unbelievers, and refuse to yoke up with them.
 
2 Corinthians 6:14,17
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?... Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”
 
We are preserved and protected by God through the wisdom He freely gives us through His Word.
