June 22 - For Him.

Hebrews 9:28
“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
 
He was there when God spoke the World into existence.
He was the Method God used…the Word.
 
Colossians 1:16
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”
 
He was and is the Reason.
“…for him…”
 
What is your reason for doing anything? 
Self-glorification, self-preservation, self-motivation… notice what all three of those begin with…self. Most of the time, what we do has selfish motives. Sad to admit, but no less true. 
 
He should always be our Reason.
“…for him…”
 
Are you working for Him today?
Colossians 3:23-24
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”
 
Are you looking for Him today?
Titus 2:13-14
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
 
Everything should be “…for him.”
