Psalm 119:10
“With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.” Once we set out in the right direction, we must refuse to stray from the path. When we begin to compromise our beliefs, our behavior will start to change as well. Distractions will cause us to wander, and wandering is dangerous. Proverbs 21:16 “The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.” The devil will use anything and anyone in order to distract us from God, His Word, and His purpose for our lives. It is dangerous to let our hearts and minds wander. Our hearts are deceitful above all things, and our minds are wicked. We must keep ourselves focused upon the Lord through His Word to keep ourselves from wandering. James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” If you are not distracted right now, you will be. God has given us the resources we need to keep our hearts and minds focused on Him. Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Do whatever is necessary to keep from wandering from the Word.
