Psalm 119:149
“Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.” Only those who hear God’s voice can have their voice heard by Him. John 10:26-28 “But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” John 18:37 “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” We must lift up on our voice in prayer to Him, asking for guidance according to His will and His Word. The more we pray, the more our love for Him grows. Psalm 116:1 “I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.” The Lord hears our prayers, not of our merit or goodness, but through His lovingkindness. He never changes, so regardless of our situation, His ears are always open to our cry. 2 Samuel 22:7 “In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.” If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must lift our voice unto Him in prayer.
