Proverbs 15:30-33
“The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat. The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.” A wise person desires reproof that is based upon the Word of God. Our faith comes from hearing the Truth of the Scriptures. Romans 10:16-17 “But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” When we refuse to adhere to the instruction of the Word we become only hearers of the Word, not having faith that His Word is true. James 1:21-25 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” Our understanding is developed by His reproof. When we understand we begin to seek after knowledge, which is only found by His correction. We cannot learn what is right until we know what is wrong. Galatians 3:21-24 “Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.” Seek Wisdom through the reproof of life today. Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.” Bible Reading: Ezekiel 21-22 | Mark 7 | Proverbs 21

A wise person listens to God's teachings and follow his every word. If we want to gain more knowledge, then we should strive to learn more about God's words. We can only continue to develop ourselves, as long as we keep his words true to our heart. The blessings that we will receive from his teachings will only cure our soul. We should never turn a blind eye to his cause and follow his every lesson.
