Proverbs 16:17
“The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.” When we endeavor to depart from evil, we are seeking the right path. It is our choice which road we travel. Proverbs 16:18-19 “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.” If we choose the road of pride, we will inevitably fall into destruction. Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Jesus said that few would choose the highway of the upright, while many refuse to depart from evil simply because of pride. In every decision we make, we must choose whether to act in pride or humility. Which will you choose today? Micah 6:8 “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” Bible Reading: Ezekiel 37-38 | Mark 15 | Proverbs 29
