October 12 - Eternal Life.

Proverbs 12:26-28
“The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them. The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious. In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.”

When we receive Christ, we receive eternal wisdom. 
We were dead in our sins before He gave us life.

Romans 6:22-23
“But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

He is the Gift and He is the Life.
We are given and promised eternal life when we place our faith in Him.

John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

The Truth is that there is no other way, because He is the Way.
We cannot live in our own strength or abilities. We have no life outside of Him, for all life was created and exists through Him. He makes the dead live once again. Just as He raised His friend Lazarus from the dead, He resurrects though who are dead in their sin when they believe in Him.

John 11:25-26
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”

Whether we believe it or not, it’s still true…Eternal life is only found in Jesus Christ.
