Psalm 107:8
“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” This verse is repeated 4 times in Psalm 107 in verses 8, 15, 21 and 31. Four times God used these Words to plead that people would see the enormity of His goodness and His wonderful works. Every Word of God is important, but the passages that God inspired to be pinned more than once should make us take more time to study them and apply them to our lives. Where would we be without the goodness of God? His goodness led us to see ourselves as sinners in need of a Saviour. Romans 2:4 “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” His goodness fills our hungry souls. Psalm 107:9 “For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.” His goodness gives us strength. Psalm 27:13 “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” His goodness endures forever. Psalm 52:1 “Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.” His goodness allows us to see all of the wonderful works that He has done in our lives. Take some time today to focus on how good He has been to you. As you do, He will reveal more of how His goodness has changed your life. God’s been good in my life I feel blessed beyond my wildest dreams when I go to sleep each night Though I’ve had my share of hard times, I wouldn’t change them if I could ‘Cause through it all, God’s been good.
