Proverbs 24:15-16
“Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place: For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.” Falling is a part of life. It is not a matter of if we fall, but rather when. James 1:2-4 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” Job 14:1 “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” Even though it is inevitable that we will fall, we can have hope. Psalm 37:24 “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” No matter how many times we fall, the Lord is always there to pick us up again. Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” The Lord takes care of His children when they fall. Those who do not have Him as their Saviour are left to pick themselves back up. Ecclesiastes 4:10 “For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.” Without Him, there is no reason to get back up. With Him, there is a bright side to every situation for He is on our side. 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” Bible Reading: Joshua 21-22 | Acts 15 | Proverbs 14
