Those who begin experimenting with strange wisdom often forget who is watching. They may be able to hide their dealings from those around them…but God knows.
Proverbs 5:21-22 “For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.” The Lord is watching, and He sees everything. Jeremiah 16:18 “For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.” Just when we think nobody is watching…He is. Proverbs 15:3 “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” When we forget that He sees and knows everything, we often begin to think we do not need His instruction. The last verse of Proverbs 5 tells us what will happen when we think we are above what God’s Word has to say. Proverbs 5:23 “He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.” The road of no instruction is not only dangerous, but it is deadly. Living without the Word applied to our hearts will surely cause us to go astray without the Lord guiding our steps. Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Seek wisdom today through the instruction of the Word of God.
