August 26 - Denial Of Wickedness.

Proverbs 30:20
“Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.”
 
Denying our wrongdoing is very dangerous.
If we make a habit of denying the sin in our lives, we will soon become immune to that sin.
 
Professed innocence is evidence of deception.
1 John 1:8
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
 
1 John 1:10
“If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
 
Until we are willing to admit that no good thing dwelleth in us, we will remain in our sin and our fellowship with the Lord will be disrupted.
 
1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
 
Forgiveness is waiting for those that refuse to deny the Truth.
