Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Have you ever walked outside during a summer rain and instead of rushing to seek cover, you took a moment to admire the droplets falling from the sky? Or when that perfect snow globe effect happens during the winter and the beauty of the snow-covered field just stops you in your tracks? Each of these can be majestic reminders of a wonderful Truth about the Word of God. Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” We have this promise that His Word will not return void. The amazing thing is that not only will the Word never return void, but He also promises that His Word will accomplish what He pleases and will prosper if what He has planned. God gave His only begotten Son because He loves us that much. Jesus gave His life for our sins because only He could pay the debt we owe. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The only condition to this promise is up to us. His Word must be spoken. His Word must be given. His Word must be sent. If our Bibles remain closed, His Word is not going in us. If we keep His Word to ourselves, His Word is not going out to others. If we stay silent, His Word will not be heard by someone else. If we refuse to plant the Seed, what harvest are we missing? Rain and snow water the earth where Seeds are planted. The Lord gives the increase and allows for the Seed to come forth and bud as He pleases. Our only responsibility is to plant the Seed of the Word. Allow the Lord to take care of the rest.
