Proverbs 30:29-31
“There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going: A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any; A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.” Each of these things are majestic in their going. A Lion He is the king of beasts, because of his strength. A lion fears no one, and is bold is their pursuit. It is no wonder why God chose to use a lion as the example of how we should be bold as Christians. Proverbs 28:1 “The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.” A Greyhound He is fit for running the race set before him. So should we run well the race we have been given. Hebrews 12:1-2 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” An He Goat He leads the pack, and is the first to go forward. We can learn from his example and apply this principle of leadership to our life. Who are we leading? 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” A King No one rise up against Him, for there is no one like Him. We serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords. 1 Kings 8:60-61 “That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.” When Solomon asked for Wisdom, he had a purpose in mind. He knew that going forth without Wisdom from above, he would surely fail. 2 Chronicles 1:10 “Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?” Ask the Lord for going Wisdom today.
