August 30 - The Value Of Wisdom.

Proverbs 8:10
“Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.”

What are you receiving today?
The temporal things will soon fade away. Will you be empty handed?

Wealth and material items may satisfy our desire for a short while, but not for long. Soon we will desire more, and more.

Consider the value of the things that occupy your attention and desires.

Proverbs 8:11
“For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.”

When Peter and John saw the lame man by the Beautiful gate of the temple, they understood the value of the Wisdom they possessed.

Acts 3:6
“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ…”

No amount of money can compare to the worth of the Wisdom that is found in Jesus Christ. Within His Word lies more Wisdom than we could ever desire to find.

Psalm 119:72
“The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.”

Psalm:119:127
“Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.”
