Psalm 119:1
“Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.” Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Scriptures. It is found almost right in the middle of our Bibles. The common theme is woven throughout almost every verse, using 13 different words to describe or refer to the Word of God. The Law of the Lord is the Word of God. In the New Testament, we find out Who is the Word of God. John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the Word. The Word was born into this world as that Baby lying in a manger. The Word was named Jesus, meaning Jehovah is Salvation, to tell of His purpose. Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” The Word walked amongst His creation so that He could redeem those who believed in Him. The longest chapter in the Bible is all about Him. He is the Lamp unto our feet. He is the Light unto our path. We are promised to be blessed when we walk with Him. Psalm 119:2 “Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.” Are you walking with the Word today? Bible Reading: Psalm 119
