Genesis 4:26
“And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.” After Adam’s grandson, Enos, was born, men began to “call upon the name of the LORD.” Praise God we still have the privilege to call upon His Name today, yet we so often neglect to do so. “God has a listening ear, do we have a praying voice?” Dr. Ed McAbee Call Of Salvation Whether a prayer for salvation of our sins or deliverance from our circumstances, His ears are open to our cry. Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Psalm 116:13 “I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.” Call Of Thanksgiving We have the opportunity to call out and thank Him for all that He has done, for what He is doing right now, and for what He is going to do. Psalm 116:17 “I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.” Why can we call upon His Name today? Because He hears us. Psalm 116:1-2 “I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.” Bible Reading: Hosea 7-9 | Hebrews 13 | Psalm 136
