December 17 - She Had A Sister Called Mary.

Luke 10:39
“And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.”
 
She.
She was the sister of Mary of Bethany.
 
She hosted Jesus in her house.
 
Luke 10:38
“Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.”
 
While He was there, they would both sit at the feet of Jesus to hear Him speak Words of Wisdom.
 
“which also sat”
This phrase tells us that Mary was not the only one who sat at His feet.
 
She was there too at some point.
 
She had a desire to serve because she heard His Word.
 
Martha serves as an example of the effect of spending time at the feet of Jesus to hear His Word.
