Mark 14:8
“She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.” She. She had something to give. Matthew 26:7 “There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.” While others criticized, Jesus called what she did a good work. Matthew 26:10 “When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.” She simply did what she could for Christ. Should this not be our prayer for our own lives? Oh that we would just do what we can for Him! Mary of Bethany also serves as an example that God only desires us to do what we can so that He can do what we cannot. We all have something to give. Our time. Our talents. Our service. When we give whatever we have to Him, we allow Him to work through us. Bible Reading: Daniel 1-2 | Hebrews 3 | Psalm 105-106
