December 2 - There Is A Better Way.

Proverbs 16:25
“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
 
This same verse is found just two chapters beforehand:
Proverbs 14:12
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
 
God only has to say something once to make it True, yet sometimes He chooses to repeat Himself for our benefit. We tend to be forgetful, while God is all knowing. In His mercy, He gracefully reminds us when He speaks the same Truth again for us to understand it.
 
Jeremiah 17:9
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
 
Our deceitful hearts often convince us that we know what is right for us. This deception leads to desperation and ultimately death.
 
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
 
Depending upon ourselves or yielding to our flesh will always end in disappointment. There is a better Way.
 
Psalm 119:1
“Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.”
 
We must choose to stop and turn to Jesus for He knows what is best.
His Word lights the way, for He is the Way.
 
John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
 
Decide today to seek Him in all that that you do, yielding your way to Him.
