Luke 8:25
“And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.” The disciples were in a storm and they were fearful. Christ was with them, and yet they still had fear they would perish because of their situation. They awoke the Master and were rebuked because of their lack of faith as He brought peace to the sea. Sometimes we need rebuked for our lack of faith as the Lord is working to still the storm in our lives. Where is your faith? Evaluate your faith today. No Faith - Complete disbelief is disobedience. Mark 4:40 “And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” Little Faith - Partial belief is still disbelief. Matthew 8:26 “And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.” Misdirected Faith – Belief in the wrong object is disbelief. Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Later in this same chapter we read of the true faith: Luke 8:45-46 “And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.” The faith of the Woman With An Issue Of Blood stopped Christ in His tracks. May we all have faith that gets the Lord’s attention. Luke 8:47-48 “And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.” If we place true faith in the right Source we too can be made whole. I find myself in Jesus Christ alone. That’s my faith belong. I am a born again Christian and believe in one God. I stand in faith and keep trusting. I may be discouraged by other people, but God will not break me. We need faith to walk with the Lord. God has granted us a free will to use it. I know that nothing happens without faith.
