December 20 - Let Us Now Go.

Luke 2:15
“And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.”
 
Sometimes, people try to talk us out of going where we know we need to go.
Sometimes, we ever talk ourselves out of doing what we know is right. 
Sometimes, we find the faith to go…no matter the cost.
 
Psalm 111:2
“The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.”
 
For the shepherds that night, their steps of faith led them straight to the One Who was, and is, the Answer to every situation.
 
Instead of questioning if they should go or making excuses of why they shouldn’t, they went in faith knowing for certain Who they would find.
 
“Let us now go”
That is true faith.
 
The Lord had made known unto the shepherds that Jesus the Saviour had come.
They chose to go to where He was.
 
Hebrews 11:8
“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”
 
Whether or not we know exactly where He is leading, it is simply our responsibility to go in faith.
 
“even unto”
Sometimes He directs us to the most unlikely places, but it is even there that we will find Him providing for our every need.
 
Psalm 139:10
“Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.”
 
Even when we do not know the question He is asking of us, we can still choose to follow Him in faith.
 
Isaiah 6:8
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
 
Matthew 16:24
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
