Luke 21:3-4
“And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.” She. She was among the rich, yet she was poor. Luke 21:1-2 “And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.” In comparison to how much the rich men had and how much they gave, there was no comparison to her sacrifice. While they gave of their abundance, she gave of her deficiency. She cast in all the living that she had. She gave everything. She held nothing back. She gave all that she could possibly give. She surrendered all to Him. Luke 9:24 “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.” The Widow With Two Mites also serves as an example of how any sacrifice for Christ does not go unnoticed by Him. Your are not the poorest person if you have God in your life, because our love towards Him is the biggest treasure we could ever have. It's pointless when we base wealth on the things that we have. It's about time for all of us to change our perspective and see things differently. The love towards God makes us the richest person ever. And if we have the willingness to share that love towards other people, we can never be the saddest people alive.
