December 25 - His Name Was Called.

Luke 2:21
“And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.”
 
Isaiah told that His name would be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace, and Immanuel.
 
Yet none of those compare to His given Name…”his name was called JESUS.”
 
Gabriel had told Mary before she conceived.
Luke 1:31
“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.”
 
The angel of the Lord had also foretold it to Joseph in a dream.
Matthew 1:21
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
 
JESUS.
Jehovah is Salvation.
 
The Reason He came is woven throughout His Name.
 
John 20:31
“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
 
JESUS.
The Name above all names.
 
Philippians 2:9-11
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
 
JESUS.
There is just something about His Name.
