December 27 - The Names Of Wisdom.

Proverbs 18:10
“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
 
Within the pages of Scripture we find many Names for God.
Each Name tells us something else about Him that is important for us to learn.
 
The Almighty God – He is Able to do the impossible!
Genesis 17:1
“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.”
 
I AM THAT I AM – He is Everything that we need!
Exodus 3:14
“And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”
 
JEHOVAH - He is the LORD of All!
Exodus 6:3
“And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.”
 
Emmanuel – He is God with us!
Matthew 1:23
“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
 
The birth of Jesus Christ showed us many Truths about Him through the different Names He was called.
 
Isaiah 9:6
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
 
Jesus – He is our Salvation!
Matthew 1:21
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
 
It is only through believing in the Name of Jesus Christ that anyone finds eternal life.
 
John 20:31
“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
 
Romans 10:13
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
 
He is all of these Names and much more!
