Psalm 147:3
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” Purging of the branches often involves a painful experience. This is a vital part of preparing for more fruit to be produced. John 15:2 “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” Purging means something has to be broken. Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” A broken heart can bring us closer to Him. When we feel as if our world has been crushed, it gives opportunity for Him to bring healing. “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” Allow Him to bind up your wounds today. The healing you need can be found within the pages of His Word. Psalm 107:19-20 “Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” He has sent us His Word, so that we may be healed. Despite our circumstance, our perspective can change if we allow our affliction to drive us to the Word. Psalm 119:50 “This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.” Psalm 119:71 “It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.” His Word can fix what’s broken, if only we will let Him. Allow His Word to bind up your wounds today, and every day. Bible Reading: Zechariah 4-7 | Psalm 147
