December 28 - She Turned Herself Back.

John 20:14
“And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.”
 
She.
She did not know it was Him.
 
John 20:15
“Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.”
 
She was so focused on finding His body, that she did not even recognize Jesus.
 
John 20:16
“Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.”
 
One word.
That is all it took for her to know it was Him.
When He spoke her name everything changed.
 
Imagine how she felt.
She thought He was dead.
She thought someone had stolen His body.
 
Yet, there He was standing before her speaking her name.
 
Mary Magdalene also serves as an example how one Word from the Lord can change our entire perspective.
