1 John 4:10
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” Before Adam drew his first breath, God knew that He would send His Son as that Baby lying in a manger. 1 John 4:9 “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” This is love in its highest and truest form. John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” He loved us first; even though we are so unworthy of His love. 1 John 4:19 “We love him, because he first loved us.” We love celebrating the birth of Christ this time of year, and we should; but may we never forget the ultimate reason He came. He was born in a cradle was so that He could die on a cross. 1 John 2:2 “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” Bible Reading: Ezekiel 47-48 | Psalm 123
