December 4 - She Looked Upon Him.

Mark 14:67
“And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.”
 
She.
She was one of the maids by the fire.
 
Peter was there.
Up above the fire, Jesus stood before the High Priest.
 
Mark 14:66
“And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:”
 
She had seen Peter before.
“she looked upon him”
 
She recognized him.
“And thou wast with Jesus of Nazareth”
 
She was the first of the three that heard Peter deny Christ.
 
Mark 14:68
“But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.”
 
She must have heard the cock crow.
 
Mark 14:72
“And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.”
 
The Maid By The Fire serves as an example of how people are watching our testimony.
 
Would others be able to say that we have been with Jesus?
