Proverbs 16:31-33
“The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.” The older we get, the closer we are to seeing our Saviour face to face. While we wait, we have the opportunity to shine our lights brighter for Him. Proverbs 14:29 “He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.” Temperance is a part of the fruit of the Spirit, which we cultivate through great understanding of the Word of God. When we have self-control we exhibit great strength, which is not of our own. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” God orders our steps and creates divine appointments within our lives and through our lives. There is no coincidence or accidents with Him. Everything happens for a reason and is ordained by Him. Whatever your situation today, you have an opportunity to shine for His glory and show His strength. Bible Reading: Daniel 3-4 | Hebrews 5 | Proverbs 5
