December 7 - She Hath Also Conceived A Son.

Luke 1:36
“And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.”
 
She.
She was the cousin of Mary the Mother of Jesus.
 
Her cousin conceived as a virgin.
She conceived in her old age.
 
Luke 1:37
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
 
She also was with child when Mary came to visit her.
 
Luke 1:41-42
“And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.”
 
She was overwhelmed that the mother of Jesus was in her house.
 
Luke 1:43
“And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?”
 
She heard Mary and the babe leaped with joy that Jesus was near.
 
Luke 1:44
“For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.”
 
She was humble.
She was filled with the Holy Spirit.
 
Elisabeth serves as an example of how the presence of the Lord brings joy to those around Him.
