Psalm 119:49
“Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.” Sometimes we need a reminder that God is Faithful to fulfill His promises. He will never go back on His Word, because He cannot lie. Deuteronomy 7:9 “Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;” 1 Chronicles 17:23 “Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.” “upon which thou hast caused me to hope.” When it seems there is a delay in the fulfillment of His promise, He has not failed us…for His timing is always right. We can find hope within the trial, even when it feels like He is four days late. 1 Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” When God promises something, He will not only cause it to come to pass, but He will also enable us to have faith that He will do it according to His will. Psalm 119:114 “Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.” If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must cling to His promises that we find within His Word.
