Proverbs 21:11
“When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.” The simple learn from observing the punishment of the scorners. They learn hoping to avoid also being punished. We have a few choices when it comes to learning. We can learn by observing the punishment of others, being punished ourselves, or by heeding to the instruction we receive. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” God has given us all the Instructions that we need to live a life that is pleasing to Him. It is up to us to heed to the Truth of His Word and allow it to change us from the inside out. 2 Peter 1:19-21 “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” The Scriptures have been given to us for our learning, and God inspired every single Word so that we may know Him. John 5:39 “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” God will not force us to obey or to follow; we must do so on our own. Allow the Light of the Word to shine within your heart today. Bible Reading: Leviticus 9-10 | Luke 1 | Proverbs 19
