Psalm 5:8
“Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.” Seven words. They are part of a prayer David prayed in Psalm 5, that can also be our prayer when seeking the will of the Lord in whatever situation lies before us. “…make thy way straight before my face.” He wanted clear direction. “Lead me, O LORD” Psalm 143:9-10 “Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.” Even in the face of his enemies, he desired for the Lord to lead him according to His will. No matter who opposes us, if we seek the Lord’s direction we cannot go wrong. Psalm 119:10 “With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.” He wanted obvious decisions. “…make thy way straight before my face.” He wanted nothing more and nothing less than the Lord’s will for his life. Psalm 27:11 “Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.” When we truly desire for the Lord to lead us, He will make our path plain through His Word. Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” His Word will guide our next step like a lantern, and then in His timing will light the Way ahead. Trust Him today, for His way is the Way. Bible Reading: Leviticus 13-14 | Luke 4
