Exodus 13:3
“And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.” Pharoah repeatedly would not let Moses and the children of Israel go out from bondage. Exodus 6:1 “Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.” Has there ever been a time in your life where you felt you were in bondage? Maybe there were not physical shackles on your hands and feet, but you felt as though you could not move. You tried to follow the Lord’s leading into a different phase or place in your life, but you were held captive by something or someone. The strength of the hand of the Lord is Able to deliver you today. Three times within the Scriptures we find the phrase “by strength of hand”.Each time is found in Exodus 13, and each time refers to the strength of the hand of the LORD. A generic place Exodus 13:3 “…for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place…” Whatever your situation, no matter how broad, God is Able to deliver you. A place of bondage Exodus 13:14 “And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:” Wherever you are, no matter the place, God is Able to deliver you. A specific place Exodus 13:16 “And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.” Whatever or whoever specifically has you in bondage today, God is Able to deliver you by the strength of His hand. Remember to thank Him for His deliverance, even before it arrives. Exodus 13:9 “And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.” The Lord will bless your faith in the midst of your bondage that He is willing and able to deliver you when He sees fit.
