Exodus 14:15
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:” Forward implies movement. Yes, there are times when we should stand still and let God move; but sometimes, we stay still longer than God intended. Sometimes we are too comfortable, so we sit still and claim to be waiting on or for Him. Oftentimes we know in our hearts that He already told us to take a step of faith and trust Him, but we are too fearful to leave our comfort zone. We cannot go forward unless we are willing to listen, to go, and to follow the Lord’s instructions. Hebrews 11:8 “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” Obedience is crucial to moving forward. Disobedience causes us to go backward. We cannot go forward by doubt or fear. Ezra 10:4 “Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.” Listen to the testimony of Paul in regards to moving forward: 2 Corinthians 8:10-12 “And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago. Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.” Don’t wait and end up regretting that you didn’t start earlier. Be willing to start today. Move forward by faith. Bible Reading: Leviticus 23-24 | Luke 9
