Proverbs 20:22
“Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.” Instead of fighting for revenge, we have the opportunity to allow the Lord to fight for us. Psalm 35:1 “Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.” When the children of Israel were facing the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s chariots behind them, they had nowhere to turn; yet God made a way. If you are facing what seems like a Red Sea today, stand still and wait for God to part the waters like only He can. Exodus 14:14 “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” With the Lord on our side, we have no need to avenge for ourselves. Romans 12:17-19 “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” When we are on the Lord’s side, we have no need to fight on our own. Wait for revenge, for He will take care of it all. Allow your Red Sea experience to deepen your love for the Word of God. Psalm 119:154 “Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.” Bible Reading: Exodus 21-22 | Matthew 15 | Proverbs 5
