January 10 - Delight In Wisdom.

Proverbs 19:10
“Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes.”
 
There is no true delight in foolishness, for joy is found only in Wisdom.
The foolish, in their own ignorance, confuse the pleasures of sin for delight.
 
Proverbs 15:21
“Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.”
 
Wisdom allows us to live righteously, for the righteousness of Jesus Christ becomes our own when we choose to trust in Him. We cannot understand what it means to delight in the Lord if we do not first know the Lord ourselves.
 
Psalm 37:4
“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
 
When we delight in Him, we will soon find delight in His Word for He is the Word of God.
 
Psalm 1:1-2
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
 
Choose today to delight in the Wisdom of the Word rather than the folly of the flesh.
