Psalm 119:14
“I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.” Do we rejoice when we read the Bible? The Psalmist considered the Scripture worth rejoicing over more than all the riches he could possess. He not only rejoiced in the Word, but “in the way of thy testimonies”. John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” As we read God’s Word, we can praise the God of the Word, and The Word Himself, Jesus Christ. His Word can bring us joy as we read the Scripture and are reminded that in His Word life can be found. John 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Jeremiah 15:16 “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” As we seek Him through His Word, we will find rejoicing in our hearts. Being reminded that we are called by His Name will surely put a smile on your face. Psalm 40:16 “Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.” If we want the Lord to order our steps we must take the time to rejoice I. The Way of the Word. Bible Reading: Genesis 27-28 | John 14 | Proverbs 14
