January 16 - Delight In His Word.

Psalm 119:16
“I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.”
 
We must make it a priority to delight in the Word of God. Doing so will change our lives, if only we will spend time in the Scriptures.
 
Delighting in His Word will help us develop a love for the Scriptures.
 
Psalm 119:47
“And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.”
 
Delighting in His Word will make us want to find God’s will for our lives.
 
Psalm 40:8
“I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.”
 
Delighting in His Word changes what our heart desires. God will give us the desires that line up with His will for our lives as we spend more times with Him.
 
Psalm 37:4
“Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
 
When we delight in His Word…
We can expect Him to direct us.
We can trust Him to provide for us.
We can have faith that He knows what is best for us.
 
If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must delight in His Word.
