Psalm 119:26
“I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.” When we confess our sins, the Lord not only hears us, He forgives us. Psalm 32:5 “I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.” If we do not confess our sins, the Lord will not hear our prayers. Psalm 66:18 “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:” After David confessed his sin and acknowledged his faith that the Lord heard him, he desired to be taught by the Teacher of all teachers. What is standing in the way of the Lord hearing our prayers? Are we willing to allow the Lord to teach us through His Word? Psalm 86:11 “Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.” The phrase “teach me” appears nine times within Psalm 119. If we want the Lord to order our steps, we must declare our ways and sincerely ask the Lord to teach us through His Word. Bible Reading: Exodus 1-2 | Matthew 5 | Proverbs 26
