January 29 - Known By The Fruit.

Proverbs 20:11
“Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.”
 
Integrity is to be shown in our testimony, the way we present ourselves to others and ultimately to God. Even in children, we can see whether or not they have been taught right and wrong by their actions.
 
Matthew 7:17-20
“Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
 
What we do matters; for our actions display what and who we really are. To speak of doing something without actually doing it, makes us dishonest instead of trustworthy. We are known by the fruit of our doings.
 
Jeremiah 17:10
“I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”
 
When our faith is tried by fire, will they come forth as praise unto Him?
1 Peter 1:7
“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”
 
When our ways are tried by God, will we come forth as gold?
Job 23:10
“But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”
 
God knows us, and He knows the state of the fruit our lives.
