January 3 - Found & Favoured.

Proverbs 18:22
“Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.”
 
God saw fit to put Adam to sleep, and remove a rib from him to make a help meet to be by his side. God established marriage, and He delights in His creation, seeing it as a good thing for a man and woman to come together as one in His sight.
 
Just as a man must seek to find a good wife, Wisdom must be sought after.
 
In order to be found, we must be sought after while actively seeking to be found. When that happens, God declares it to be a good thing.
 
Who we wait upon is what matters.
If we simply wait on a husband, or whatever need we have, we incorrectly place our faith in waiting on an object rather than the One Who can supply the need when He sees fit to do so.
 
Psalm 27:14
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
 
When we wait upon God, we find favour from the Lord.
 
Proverbs 8:34-35
“Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.”
 
We are found and favoured when we wait upon the Lord. Do not rush into doing something on your own accord or timing today. Wait on Him.
